On April 15, 2012, the successful hot test of the phase II steel making continuous casting project of Baosteel Meisteel Co., LTD marked the successful operation of the two 250-ton converters produced by CITIC Heavy Industrial Machinery Co., LTD., the largest in China. This is another major breakthrough made by CITIC Heavy Machinery Company in the field of metallurgy after the successful manufacturing of shandong Laigang 120 ton vertical converter. Especially the 150-ton steel-making converter of Shandong Fulun Iron and Steel Co., LTD., with compact structure and large steel storage capacity, the furnace body weight reaches 530 tons, making it the largest steel-making converter in the history of the company. The signing of these three metallurgical converter contracts is of great significance for the company to further develop the large metallurgical converter market.
