A steel bolt is a mechanical part, consisting of a head and a shank (a cylindrical body with external threads), and it is a cylindrical threaded fastener used with a nut.
The performance grade of ball mill bolts can be divided into 10 performance grades: 3.6, 4.6, 4.8, 5.6, 5.8, 6.8, 8.8, 9.8, 10.9, 12.9, among which the strength bolts above 8.8 grade (including) are made of medium carbon steel and alloy steel after heat treatment, and these bolts are called high strength bolts, and the rest are generally called ordinary strength bolts.
Ball mill bolts can be divided into elliptical head bolts, square head bolts, tenon bolts, waist bolts, bucket bolts, D bolts, horn bolts and so on.
Ball mill bolts can be divided into: bulkhead lining plate bolts, grate plate bolts, step lining plate bolts, cylinder bolts, fixed cone lining plate bolts, import and export hopper lining tile bolts, bulkhead bracket bolts, manhole bolts, grid plate bolts, end cover lining plate bolts.

1. Bolts with performance grade 4.8 are defined as:
(1) The nominal tensile strength of the bolt material reaches 400Mpa level;
(2) The tensile strength ratio of the bolt material is 0.8;
(3) The nominal yield strength of the bolt material is 400X0.8= 320Mpa level
2. Bolts with performance class 8.8 are defined as:
(1) The nominal tensile strength of the bolt material reaches 800Mpa level;
(2) The tensile strength ratio of the bolt material is 0.8;
(3) The nominal yield strength of the bolt material is 800x0.8 = 640Mpa level
3. Bolts with performance class 10.9 are defined as:
(1) The nominal tensile strength of the bolt material is up to 1000Mpa;
(2) The tensile strength ratio of the bolt material is 0.9;
(3) The nominal yield strength of the bolt material is up to 1000X0.9= 900Mpa grade
The meaning of bolt performance grade is the international standard, the bolt of the same performance grade, no matter the difference of material and origin, its performance is the same, the design only chooses the performance grade. The strength grade of the bolt is 10.9, which means the shear stress grade of the bolt is 10.9GPa.
